We have left behind our life in a big city and have moved to a semi rural area.
I blog about creating a greener, more sustainable and simpler lifestyle for myself and my family.
I am interested in reducing my carbon footprint, by reducing, recycling, reusing.
Building community, nurturing friendships and family, cooking, sewing, yoga, running, meditation and enjoying a simpler lifestyle and living creatively are some of my passions.

Hello,
I’m working on a Channel 4 series about women presented by the actress and writer Sharon Horgan (who recently presented a programme about Motherhood for C4).
One of the films is going to look at the experiences of middle aged women. What does it mean to be middle aged now that people are more youthful in their outlook and lifestyle? There are too few representations of older women in the media and perceptions of so called middle aged women haven’t really caught up with the reality. Something we’d like to change!
I’m looking for women who have redefined what it means to be middle aged. I don’t know if you are in your midlife! But if you are I’d be very interested in talking to you about your experience of moving to the countryside to have a simpler life. What prompted the lifestyle change, when did you move and how has it changed your life?
The programme will be made by North One Television – a BAFTA and Royal Television Society award winning production company – based in London. We specialise in intelligent, innovative and compelling documentaries and factual entertainment programmes and are part of the All3Media Group, the UK’s leading TV production group.
I am happy to talk to anyone interested in the project without them having to make any commitment! I’d be really grateful if you’d give me a ring on 0207 502 5739 if you think you are interested in finding out more.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Many thanks,
Emily
